When is the best time to sow garden seeds in Pakistan?

Pakistan has two main sowing windows. Mid-September to November is the big one, covering every winter vegetable and flower — peas, carrots, spinach, methi, cauliflower, pansy and petunia. February to March is the second, for summer crops like tomato, chilli, bhindi and gourds. In Islamabad and the north, sow two to three weeks earlier; in Karachi, two to three weeks later. Are your garden seeds tested before they are sold?

Yes. We grow a test tray from every batch before we pack it, and if it does not sprout, it does not ship. We have been germination-testing seeds in Lahore since 1932.

Which garden seeds are easiest for a beginner?

Methi, mooli (radish), palak (spinach) and coriander are the most forgiving — all sprout within a week and give a harvest in four to six weeks. Among flowers, marigold, zinnia and sunflower are hard to fail with.

Do you deliver garden seeds across Pakistan?

Yes. We ship nationwide from Karachi to Quetta with tracking and cash on delivery. Delivery is free inside Lahore and Rs 250 anywhere else in Pakistan, and free on all orders over Rs 3,500. Cash on Delivery is available nationwide, and you can also pay before dispatch by JazzCash, Easypaisa or bank transfer.

What if my seeds do not germinate?
