White Radish (Mooli) Seeds

Growing Guide for Pakistan

• Sowing time: September to November in the plains; late August to October in Islamabad; October to December in Karachi. Resow every two weeks for a steady pull.
• Method: Direct sow 1–2 cm deep in deeply loosened soil, mooli roots run long, so dig the bed a full spade deep.
• Germination: 4–7 days at 15–25°C.
• Spacing: Thin to 8–10 cm early; crowded mooli grows tops, not roots.
• Harvest: 30–40 days; pull while firm and glossy, oversize roots turn pithy and sharp.
• Sun and water: Full sun; quick, even watering keeps the flavour gentle.
