Wallflower Charity Seeds

Grow old-fashioned fragrant Wallflowers with Charity series seeds (Erysimum cheiri). Velvety blooms in warm golds, oranges and mahoganies with a honey scent that carries across the whole garden on a mild February evening, a nostalgic favourite for Pakistani winter beds.

Growing Guide for Pakistan

• Sowing time: September to October in the plains; late August to September in Islamabad; October in Karachi.
• Method: Nursery trays or a seedbed; cover with 5 mm of soil.
• Germination: 5–10 days at 18–20°C.
• Transplanting: At 5–6 leaves, 20–25 cm apart; firm the soil well, wallflowers like a settled root run.
• Flowering: February to April.
• Sun and water: Full winter sun; moderate water and good drainage.
