Torenia Seeds

Grow charming Torenia (Wishbone Flower) with these pelleted seeds. Compact, well-branched plants covered in two-tone trumpet blooms, and one of the few winter annuals that actually prefers a semi-shaded Pakistani courtyard or east-facing balcony.

Growing Guide for Pakistan

• Sowing time: September to October in the plains; September in Islamabad; October to November in Karachi.
• Method: Nursery trays. Surface-sow the pelleted seed, do not cover; it needs light. Mist gently to dissolve the pellet coating.
• Germination: 8–14 days at 22–24°C.
• Transplanting: At 4–6 leaves, 15–20 cm apart in pots, baskets or shaded bed edges.
• Flowering: December to March.
• Sun and water: Morning sun or bright shade; keep evenly moist, torenia wilts fast in dry pots.
