Growing Guide for Pakistan

• Sowing time: September to October in the plains; late August to September in Islamabad; October in Karachi.
• Method: Nursery trays; cover seed lightly, 3 mm, and keep below 22°C for best germination.
• Germination: 5–10 days at 18–20°C.
• Transplanting: At 4–5 leaves, 15 cm apart in rows for straight cutting stems.
• Flowering: January to March; harvest when a third of the florets are open and stand stems in deep water.
• Sun and water: Full winter sun; moderate water with sharp drainage.
