Salvia Seeds (Tall)

Grow commanding tall Salvia with Lighthouse seeds (Salvia splendens). Long scarlet spikes on upright 60–70 cm plants, made for the back of Pakistani winter beds and grand gate-side plantings where dwarf salvias disappear.

Growing Guide for Pakistan

• Sowing time: September to October in the plains and Karachi; by early September in Islamabad, or wait for February.
• Method: Nursery trays. Press seed into the surface, cover only lightly; some light helps germination.
• Germination: 10–14 days at 22–25°C.
• Transplanting: At 4–6 leaves, 30 cm apart.
• Flowering: December to April in mild areas; remove spent spikes for repeat bloom.
• Sun and water: Full sun to light afternoon shade; regular water.
