Primula Seeds

Brighten the darkest winter weeks with Primula Danessa series seeds (Primula acaulis). Jewel-coloured blooms nestled over neat rosettes from December onward, a cool-loving treasure for shaded Pakistani verandas, north-facing beds and hill-station gardens.

Growing Guide for Pakistan

• Sowing time: September in the plains, in the coolest spot you have; late August in Islamabad and the hills; October in Karachi (primula struggles with coastal warmth, give it your shadiest corner).
• Method: Nursery trays. Surface-sow, do not cover; primula needs light and cool. Above 22°C germination drops sharply, so shade the tray.
• Germination: 14–21 days at 15–18°C; slow and steady.
• Transplanting: At 4–6 leaves, 15–20 cm apart in shade or morning sun.
• Flowering: December to March.
• Sun and water: Bright shade; keep evenly moist, never bone dry.
