Poppy Seeds

Grow florist-grade Iceland Poppies with Champagne Bubbles F1 seeds (Papaver nudicaule). Large silk-crepe blooms on long, strong stems in champagne, apricot, rose and gold, the premium cutting poppy for Pakistani winter gardens.

Growing Guide for Pakistan

• Sowing time: October to November in the plains once soil cools; late September to October in Islamabad; November in Karachi.
• Method: Direct sow where they flower, or transplant very young from trays. Mix the fine seed with sand, scatter, press in, do not cover.
• Germination: 7–14 days at 16–18°C.
• Spacing: Thin to 20–25 cm.
• Flowering: February to April; cut at the cracked-bud stage and sear stem ends for a week-long vase life.
• Sun and water: Full sun; light watering, sharp drainage.
