Growing Guide for Pakistan

• Sowing time: February to March in trays for the main spring crop in the plains and Islamabad; late August to September in the plains and Karachi for an autumn crop. Tomatoes are frost-tender, plan around your first frost.
• Method: Nursery trays; cover seed 0.5–1 cm and keep warm.
• Germination: 6–10 days at 22–26°C.
• Transplanting: At 4–6 leaves, 50–60 cm apart; stake, this vigorous vine keeps climbing.
• Harvest: About 75–80 days from transplanting, in continuing trusses.
• Sun and water: Full sun; deep, regular watering at the base, never on the leaves.
