Growing Guide for Pakistan

• Sowing time: September to October in the plains; September in Islamabad; October to November in Karachi. Protect from frost in northern areas.
• Method: Nursery trays. Surface-sow, do not cover; impatiens needs light. Cover the tray with clear plastic to hold humidity and mist daily.
• Germination: 14–18 days at 22–24°C; be patient and never let the surface dry.
• Transplanting: At 4–6 leaves, 20 cm apart in pots or shaded beds.
• Flowering: December to April in mild areas.
• Sun and water: Bright shade or morning sun only; keep evenly moist. Damping-off is the main enemy, use clean trays and airflow.
