Godetia Seeds (F1 Dwarf)

Grow silky, azalea-like Godetia with Satin F1 dwarf seeds (Clarkia amoena). Shimmering cup-shaped blooms in pinks and salmons cover compact plants in late winter, an underused gem that performs beautifully in Pakistani beds and pots.

Growing Guide for Pakistan

• Sowing time: October to November in the plains once real cool arrives; September to October in Islamabad; November in Karachi.
• Method: Best sown direct where it will flower, godetia resents transplanting. Rake the bed fine, scatter, and cover with 3 mm of soil. If using trays, move seedlings very young.
• Germination: 7–14 days at 16–20°C.
• Spacing: Thin to 15–20 cm; crowding reduces bloom.
• Flowering: February to April.
• Sun and water: Full sun; light watering, and go easy on fertiliser or you get leaves instead of flowers.
