Growing Guide for Pakistan

• Sowing time: September to October in the plains; September in Islamabad; October to November in Karachi, where gazania is especially happy.
• Method: Nursery trays. Cover seed with 3–5 mm of mix; gazania germinates better in darkness.
• Germination: 7–14 days at 20–22°C.
• Transplanting: At 4–5 leaves, 20–25 cm apart.
• Flowering: December to May; blooms open with the sun and close by evening, so site them where morning light lands.
• Sun and water: Full sun, the more the better; water sparingly, gazania hates wet feet.
