Growing Guide for Pakistan

• Sowing time: September to October in the plains; late August to September in Islamabad; October to November in Karachi.
• Method: Sow direct where they are to flower, or in trays; cover lightly with 3–5 mm of soil. Dislikes root disturbance, so transplant young.
• Germination: 7–14 days at 18–20°C.
• Spacing: Thin or plant 15–20 cm apart in full sun.
• Flowering: January to March; blooms close on cloudy afternoons, so give the sunniest spot you have.
• Sun and water: Full sun, light water; overwatering is the main cause of failure.
