Dianthus (F1 Double)

Grow double Sweet William with Dynasty F1 seeds (Dianthus barbatus). Fully double, carnation-like flower heads in rich crimsons, pinks and bicolours on strong stems, splendid in Pakistani winter beds and long-lasting in the vase.

Growing Guide for Pakistan

• Sowing time: September to October in the plains; late August to September in Islamabad; October in Karachi.
• Method: Nursery trays; cover seed with 3 mm of mix.
• Germination: 5–10 days at 18–21°C.
• Transplanting: At 4–6 leaves, 20–25 cm apart in full sun.
• Flowering: February to April from a September sowing.
• Sun and water: Full winter sun; moderate water at the base, good drainage.
