Growing Guide for Pakistan

• Sowing time: August to September in trays in the plains; August in Islamabad; late September to October in Karachi.
• Method: Nursery trays; cover seed 5 mm. Morning-only watering guards trays against damping-off in humid weeks.
• Germination: 5–8 days at 18–21°C.
• Transplanting: At 4–5 leaves, 45 cm apart in rich, firm soil.
• Harvest: 90–110 days from sowing; when curds reach full size, snap a leaf over them to keep the white colour, and cut before florets loosen.
• Sun and water: Full sun; steady, even moisture, cauliflower punishes drought with button-sized heads.
