Carnation Can Can Seeds (F1 Semi-Tall)

Grow fragrant, florist-quality Carnations with Can Can F1 semi-tall seeds (Dianthus caryophyllus). Strong stems, densely petalled double blooms and the classic clove scent make this series ideal for Pakistani winter beds and homegrown cut flowers that last over a week in the vase.

Growing Guide for Pakistan

• Sowing time: September to October in the plains (Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan); late August to September in Islamabad and the north; October in Karachi.
• Method: Nursery trays in a light mix; cover seed with 3 mm of fine soil.
• Germination: 5–10 days at 18–21°C.
• Transplanting: At 4–5 leaves, 25 cm apart in full sun. Pinch the tip once for bushier plants and more stems.
• Flowering: February to April in the plains; cut when buds show colour for the longest vase life.
• Sun and water: Full winter sun, moderate water; avoid wetting the foliage in the evening.
