Read this one carefully before you buy: Fresh Pak is grown for its leaves and does not form a usable beetroot. The breeder says so plainly. What you get instead is the best beet leaf available — rich green blades on vivid magenta stems and veins, ready at 28 days as baby leaf and 40 days as full bunching greens, with far more leaf per plant and fewer culls than any open-pollinated beet green.

Growing Guide for Pakistan
- Sowing time: Punjab plains (Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan) late September to February; Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Peshawar September to January; Karachi and coastal Sindh October to December; Murree, Swat and Quetta February to April. Fast enough to sow every two to three weeks right through winter.
- Method: Sow 13 mm deep, about fifteen seeds per 30 cm of row.
- Germination: Five to seventeen days once soil is above 7°C.
- Spacing: Rows 30–45 cm apart; thin to one plant every 7 cm.
- Harvest: Baby leaf from 28 days, full bunching greens at 40. Cut and it regrows.
- Sun and water: Full sun. Even moisture; avoid wetting the leaves late in the day.
Why grow a beet with no beetroot
Because beet leaf is a vegetable in its own right — sweeter and more tender than chard, and the magenta stems make an ordinary salad look considered. If you want beetroot, grow Bull's Blood or a standard root variety instead. This packet is for the leaf.
Strong disease package
High resistance to downy mildew and intermediate resistance to Cercospora leaf spot — the two problems that disfigure beet leaves in a damp Pakistani winter. Rotate beet beds each year to keep Cercospora out of the soil.
