Aster Seeds (Large Double)

Growing Guide for Pakistan

• Sowing time: September to October in the plains; September in Islamabad; October to November in Karachi.
• Method: Nursery trays or direct; cover seed with 5 mm of mix.
• Germination: 7–14 days at 18–21°C.
• Transplanting: At 4–5 leaves, 25–30 cm apart; rotate beds year to year to avoid aster wilt.
• Flowering: January to April; cut stems when the outer petals open.
• Sun and water: Full sun; water at the base, keep foliage dry.
