Anemone Seeds (F1 Series)

Grow long-stemmed cutting Anemones with Mona Lisa F1 seeds (Anemone coronaria). Larger blooms and longer, stronger stems than garden anemones, in saturated reds, blues and whites with dramatic dark centres, the florist’s anemone raised at home in Pakistan’s cool months.

Growing Guide for Pakistan

• Sowing time: Late September to October in the plains and Islamabad; November in Karachi. Needs cool soil to start.
• Method: Nursery trays. Cover seed very lightly and keep the tray in your coolest shaded spot; a week of refrigerated (sealed) seed before sowing helps in warm autumns.
• Germination: 12–18 days at 15–18°C; uneven sprouting is normal.
• Transplanting: At 3–4 leaves, 20 cm apart.
• Flowering: February to April; cut when buds show colour but before they open fully.
• Sun and water: Full winter sun; light, steady water with sharp drainage.
