Alyssum Easter Bonnet Seeds

Edge your beds with Alyssum Easter Bonnet seeds (Lobularia maritima). A low carpet of tiny honey-scented blooms in white, rose and lavender that hums with bees all winter, the easiest edging flower a Pakistani gardener can sow.

Growing Guide for Pakistan

• Sowing time: September to November in the plains; September in Islamabad; October to December in Karachi.
• Method: Direct sow where it will grow or in trays; scatter and cover with barely 2 mm of soil.
• Germination: 4–8 days at 18–22°C.
• Spacing: Thin to 10–15 cm; alyssum knits into a solid carpet.
• Flowering: Six to eight weeks from sowing right through to April; shear halfway once for a fresh flush.
• Sun and water: Full sun; light watering, very forgiving.
